(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

11th July 2012

When Cassandra of Reader Houston posted about Daily Book Pic on Book Riot and tweeted me, I knew I had to participate. Essentially, she gave a topic for each day of July, and people take photos loosely based on the prompt. Then readers can see the other participants’ photos on Instagram, Twitter, or Pinterest. It’s been a lot of fun, so I thought I’d share mine. [All photos taken on my iPhone and run through the X-Pro II filter on Instagram.]

July 2: Current Read (The Orphanmaster by Jean Zimmerman)

July 3: Book Browsing

July 4: Bookshelves

July 5: Bookmark (From top: handmade, letter, memo, receipt, napkin)

July 6: Book & Beverage

July 7: Book & Breakfast

July 8: Book Fetish (My Jane Eyre collection)

July 9: Not a Book (My dad reading the newspaper)

July 10: Page Count

  • Great photos (and YUM, Ruby Redbird)! I love how the page count one came out. 🙂

    • I know. That is one great reason to live in Texas: Ruby Redbird summer beer. 🙂 And yeah, that last one was hard. I wanted a more obvious page-turning motion, but it’s hard to take the pic & run through the pages.

  • I like how you staged the Jane Eyres. Now that I’ve finally read it, I feel like part of the “in crowd”.

Ooooh, I LOVE these pics! Great images.

    • Thanks! I’ve really enjoyed trying to take a pic each day for this.

  • GREAT shots! (Books make for beautiful photo subjects)

    • Thanks! And yeah, they definitely do.

  • BethFishReads

Great series. Love your books and breakfast. Yum!!!!

  • This is very cool! How did like The Orphanmaster? I have met Jean a few times and she is so interesting.

    • It was pretty good. It scared the pants off me in parts, but it was a bit verbose in areas.
