In Which Rainbow Rowell Says Everything I Want to About Breaking Dawn…But Better

I wanted to write a post about seeing Breaking Dawn Part I. Then I read author Rainbow Rowell’s post, and it was almost word-for-word* what I wanted to say (almost scarily so), except exchange Transformers for Power Rangers in her discussion of the wolf scene.

So…. go here. Enjoy.

* Except she left out the awfulness that was SM’s cameo. I mean, truly.

  • Trish Stineman

Yup, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it…

  • Ok, I’m so trying to figure out how to use DisQus…didn’t mean to post the original comment yet.

Anyway, I liked the first three books more than I’d like to admit, but I just couldn’t stomach the fourth. And the way that Rainbow Rowell describes the movie? Urg… 😉 Thanks for giving us the very fair warning to stay away from this one!

    • I know! I really did enjoy the books, even though the writing quality wasn’t fantastic. The story grabbed me. And yes, the movie was awful. I laughed so hard at the Power Ranger/Transformer wolf scene. It was terrible!

  • I don’t understand why this movie has been split into 2 parts. I don’t remember the story being that long that it couldn’t be fitted into a single one.

Thanks for linking to that hilarious blog post. I was chuckling as I read it 🙂

    • I really don’t understand why it was split either. I think they were just following the Harry Potter mania (which a 2-part film was fully justified for).
