Sometimes someone does something so thoughtful and so unexpected it deserves extra-special thanks. If you can read between the lines, it has been a rough couple months here at The Picky Girl, and life continues to throw more challenges my way. I am so grateful for the friends and family I have who remind me of the good things in my life, and this blog is high on the list.
Earlier this week, on a particularly-challenging day, I came home to this note:
"Many thanks for your reviews and recommendations...xo Katharine"
The note alone had me near tears because it was such a sweet little surprise, tucked into a large planter on the porch, and it came at just the right moment. There was quite a heavy package with it, and I opened it only to discover….
Remember these?
That’s right. I discovered a heavy handful of these beautiful letterpress stamps from the Fridays at Home post from two weeks ago (!) tucked inside the white tissue. At the moment, they are living in a batik bowl on my desk, but I am sure they will move around a time or two before I’m finished with them. On the desk seems a fitting place, though, and since I spend a lot of time here, it’s a fitting reminder of the people who make my life so full and happy.
